I spent a lot of time walking around this thing trying to get a good shot. I needed to get his face shaded and use the shadows to my advantage. Playground equipment is always bright and fun to use in pictures.
set your camera setting on slower so you can get some blurred/action shots .. those are always so much fun. i actually like blurred shots because of the action involved. i suppose that's why i like monet's and van gogh's styles.
I am having a hard time keeping him in the frame. He moves so fast. I will work on the action shots. One fun thing is to sway back and forth in rhythm with someone on a swing. If you pace your self correctly you will get a blurred background with a still picture of your subject.
oh, just a thought .. don't try to frame his whole body in the picture ... those blurred shots with body parts outside the frame are often amazing .. it's ok to color outside the lines :-)
Ok, I will give it a try. I have thousands of shots with most of his body out of the frame. :) He moves fast. I will look into it. I might have some shots in my album-- But, I think most of the blurred ones seemed more like crappy snapshots compared to real blurred pics. I do have a great photo where a turned the camera while taking the shot. I will look for it.

Thanks I will work on it.
i think can have fun with blurred images - they really capture the engergy and excitement of children.
