i absolutely love these trees - the flowers are perfectly regal purple, and the leaves are fine and feathery .. they remind of trees in gainsborough paintings - doubt if they are the same.

In this area one can tell when the houses were built by the types of trees that line the street. These are almost always in front of the post WW2 starter homes.

Oh how I miss the Jacaranda trees!!! I used to love driving very slowly over the fallen buds and hear the "snap, snap, POP!" sounds they would make. Wow, I miss them.

i'll have to keep this in mind (re: trees signify age of homes) the next time i need to find a bomb-shelter quickly.

Nam Lamore- I think they have one two streets over from my house. I hope we never need to find a bomb shelter. If you can not find one wrap yourself up in newspaper. It will help keep you warm in the moment before you die.

Monster- Welcome back. I missed you.

Monster- Do not be afraid of the Dark. You are your own person. And you should be aware of all my opinions by now on how you should live your life. :) I saw your dad-- He had some type of shin guard on.
