Some Detainees Said Returning to Terror

Let me get this straight-
We hold prisoners with out legal representation. Ignore the Geneva Convention. Torture prisoners. Break prisoners with sleep deprivation. Laugh at International Law. Set prisoners free and expect them to love America?

It is more complicated than that. It is a bit of conundrum. You have people who want to murder Americans. They don't hide it, they make it clear that this is what they intend to do.

What do you do with them?

Some of them may know about future plans to commit acts of terror.

Do you let them go and hope that they do nothing?

This is one of those fine lines in which your values are really going to be tested.

What are you willing to do? How much are you willing to risk to try and maintain our way of life?

Some real questions?

I am not sure we will ever get this one resolved.
Our actions do not help our enemy understand america.
Many of these protections came about from world war II laws. They worked then . . . Murder charges are pending against several service men. . .
I am sure we will revist this in another post soon.
