The French
Ever since the war in Iraq debate began I have become rather fond of the French.
Am I the only one?
We're on different sides of the fence on this one. I'd like to see the French engage in some attacking that is anatomically impossible, but that is because I cannot stand their hypocrisy.
That is part of what bothers me about the French. They haven't the foggiest clue about what they are doing at times. They have a huge Muslim population, many of whom are young, disenfranchised males.
These men are part of one of the largest recurrences of antisemitism in the world. Not a week goes by in which there is not a report of a new incident.
Instead of trying to look at what they can do to get to the root of the problem they are attempting to hide it. By that I mean that the head scarf ban also bans crosses and yarmulkes.
In essence they are trying to force people to hide their religious identity in the hope that this will cut down on the problem. It is not even a band-aid and it doesn't work. Just silly.

we all get our own opinion. Thanks for sharing yours. I am rather confused by the whole head scarf ban that they have started.

I wonder are we on the other end of the spectrum. Sometimes I think that we add god to everything just to dilute god into a secular realm.
