i use to those really hot peppers .. habanero, i think that's what it was .. and, i'll tell you something, the neighborhood dogs never came around and dig up my yard after they sniffed around those plants!

i don't garden anymore .. no time. now, i just have a couple of cacti on the porch.

jalapenos?

I don't even have cacti... My cat eats up all the plants. She even plucks out needles from the cacti with her teeth.

The Habanero's are hot. I have one planted in the garden. I do not think I will need more than a few peppers off of it. I currently have 2 jalapeƱo plants growing. From the two I should get a fair sized crop. I have gone a little crazy with the pepper planting and have planted several other peppers over the last few days.
My dog stays away from the pepper plants.

If the racoons ever take over I will coat my entire back yard with Habanero spray and dishes of Habanero spiced water for when they get thirsty.
