I have a credit card from (Citibank) shitty bank. I never use it. Once a week I get a call from them or one of their partners trying to sell me something or another. “Hello this is Linda from Citibank with an offer....” Click. My other credit card does not bother me like this.
I hate shitty bank.

in situations like this, i usually ask them for a non-800 phone number and then hang up. i call back customer service, and ask them to update my new phone number ... the number that was provided by their earlier call. works everytime.
I usually tell them to hang on-- put the phone down and walk away.
