They have opened a new drive through Starbucks near my house.
Is this a good idea? Will they still take 3-5 minutes to make a drink? If the morning line has 15 cars does that mean it will be a 45-105 minute wait? I hope they thought this through.

We have two drive thrus in the city I live in. I like the fact that I can pull up on my way to work, get my latte, and continue on. It takes less time than if i were to park the car, wait in line, wait for my order and then get back in the car. I think during their busy times they have a cashier and a barista (remember when it was just a waitperson or a "coffee lady"?) dedicated just to the drive thru so it moves quicker thsn you think.
